It is precisely through the trust of consumers that the police seized nearly a hundred contracts for the Thermage project in the medical beauty institutions under investigation, with contract amounts mostly between 20000 and 30000 yuan, while the cost was less than one tenth of the selling price.

Recently, the Shanghai police solved a case of producing and selling counterfeit well-known brand medical beauty medical devices, dismantled 15 criminal dens, investigated 15 medical beauty institutions, and seized multiple counterfeit well-known brand medical beauty medical devices and consumables, with a total amount of nearly 100 million yuan.
The Economic Investigation Brigade of Shanghai Public Security Bureau discovered multiple high-risk counterfeit online stores through procurement channels of some medical beauty institutions, and traced the upstream supply source based on this clue. The police seized 54 counterfeit medical beauty devices from multiple well-known brands, over 46000 consumables such as probes, and over 61000 packaging materials, with a total amount of over 92 million yuan involved.
After investigation, since 2020, five criminal gangs led by suspect Chen and others have set up fake manufacturing dens in Guangdong, privately processed and produced various medical and aesthetic medical devices and supporting products of many well-known brands, and sold them to many medical and aesthetic service places in Shanghai at a price far below the market price through online stores and social software.
