Criminal Case of Large scale Seasoning Wholesalers in Guangzhou Counterfeiting Famous Brands of Seasoning Products

Investigation process:
In 2011, our investigator found during a routine visit to the Guangzhou wholesale market that a large seasoning wholesaler in Dongwang Market, Baiyun District was involved in selling various well-known brand seasonings. Through long-term continuous tracking of delivery workers, it was ultimately discovered that they were used for processing counterfeit condiments in their dens and warehouses.
The counterfeit condiments produced by this counterfeit gang almost involve all well-known brands in the market. In addition to the store located in Dongwang Market in Baiyun District, there is also one hideout and three warehouses in Baiyun District. On July 2, 2012, our company coordinated with the plainclothes investigation team of the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau and the Guangzhou Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau to carry out criminal investigations on five target points of the gang.
Investigation results:
A total of tens of thousands of boxes of counterfeit well-known brand seasonings and 4 counterfeit tools have been confiscated;
Four parties involved were criminally detained on the day of investigation, and three main parties were arrested the following month.
Judgment result:
The three defendants were sentenced to 2 years and 3 months, 2 years and 2 months, and 2 years respectively, with each person fined 50000 yuan.
