Strike down counterfeit goods and defend the reputation of "Made in China". At the beginning of 2020, the Qianjiang Customs under Hangzhou Customs launched the "Longteng Action 2020" to protect intellectual property rights. While intensifying epidemic prevention and control, it actively strengthened national security supervision, increased the protection of intellectual property rights in mail delivery channels, and severely cracked down on infringement and illegal activities in the import and export links.
The hourly reporter learned today that Qianjiang Customs seized a total of 1135 batches of goods suspected of infringing intellectual property rights in the first quarter, which is 26.2 times higher than the same period last year. The number of inspections and approvals has exceeded the total number of times last year. Suspected infringing items include shoes, bags, sunglasses, and other products, involving infringement of multiple internationally renowned brands such as LV, GUCCI, CHANEL, and NIKE. These emails were originally planned to be sent to countries such as Europe and America, but if they were to flow out in large quantities, it would objectively have an impact on the reputation of "Made in China".
Under the unified deployment of the General Administration of Customs, the national customs organization has launched a 10 month "Longteng Action 2020" special action on intellectual property protection, focusing on high-risk infringing goods such as clothing, shoes and boots, leather bags, personal care products, watches, and consumer electronics.
Cracking down on infringement not only protects the legitimate rights and interests of domestic and foreign intellectual property rights holders, but also, more importantly, protects the reputation of local manufacturing industry, avoids the situation of "Made in China" being linked to counterfeit goods, and optimizes the regional business environment.
